The Grain of Learning — It Was Never a Slow Mind

The grain of learning is how a person takes something in and makes it their own. A school report measures one version of that: taking it in and giving it back, at a set time in a set order. So the one who missed the mark and the one who scored full marks can both pass through without ever reading their own grain.
